Purminerals Beautiful Creatures Palette : Review and Swatches.

Today I'm sharing a new palette from the brand Purminerals. I was super excited when I saw this palette because it is inspired by one of my favorite book series, Beautiful Creatures which they are now making a movie out of (coming out Feb 14).
With this palette you get eight eye shadows, a lip gloss in Lust, a eyeliner pencil in Black Magic, and a mini eye shadow brush.
First in the palette we have Supernatural which Purminerals website calls nude ( Ps I'm going to state what Purminerals website calls the color, so if you look on there site it won't make you confused.), but it is more of a light gold with a sheen to it. Also this eye shadow is super pigmented, which is always a plus in my eyes!

Next we have Siren Purminerals says that this is a moss, which I totally agree with. Just like the shadow before this one it is also very pigmented.

Following Siren is Spellbound a slightly off white matte shade. I found this to be really great brow bone highlight, the off white color makes for a subtle lift of the brow. Purminerals calls this shade neutral.

Next up we have Fate which Pureminerals calls mushroom which I agree with also, it's a light brown shade with a little bit of a red/ pinky shimmer through out it. I would say this is some what like M.A.C's Satin Taupe but with Satin Taupe being on the cooler side and Fate being more on the warmer end.
Now we have Fantasy which in the picture is coming off more of like a dark brown. But it is actually more of a currant with a slight cranberry under tone. This shade has some shimmer in it, also this blends very nicely.
Following that Secret is a light pink that almost looks white, but it defiantly has pink tones to it. (Purminerals also calls this pink.) It has a matte finish to it.

Next after that we have Forbidden that Purminerals calls taupe, which I some what agree with there is defiantly a hit of taupe. But there is more of a cool medium brown color trough out it. This shadow has a very light shimmer finish to it.

Last of the the eye shadows is Cursed which in the picture comes off more of a slate grey color but in really life there is definitely a strong dark purple plum aspect to it. There is no shimmer in it but there is a slight sheen to it.

Finally we have a eyeliner in Black Magic which I'm not impressed with. It's a matte black which is nice but the when I was trying to apply it to my upper lash liner I had to tug pretty hard on my eye to get it on. The lasting power it really bad it was gone on my bottom lash line in about two hours and three to four on the top lash line. The lip gloss in Lust is a sheer pinky nude that is a little sticky but I don't mind that. It looks like it would be great for a every day lip color. It does not have great lasting power, it stayed on for about an hour but as soon as I ate/drank something it stated to wear off. But I found that with a lot of lip glosses that happens.

I really like the packaging of the palette, it is made of cardboard which I don't mind but I know that that's not every ones cup of tea. its about the same thickness and height of Urban Decay NAKED palette and about an inch and a half to two inches shorter in length.

Over all I really like all the shadows and the lip gloss that comes with it, but I would have to leave the eyeliner out it's just not very good.  :(

If I had to rate the hole kit I would give the shadows an A,
the lip gloss a B+,
and the eyeliner a D-

I bought the palette from ULTA. The palette retails for $39 but I got 20% off which last until tomorrow
Sat, Feb 2,2013.
So if this is something you would like to try I would hurry and buy it soon.
I hope everyone is having a happy Friday, also if you like my photos and reviews I would really appreciate if you would subscribe to my blog thanks and have a great weekend. :)

Ps. If you are going to watch the Superbowl tell me who you are rooting for. I would love to know,
I'm a Ravens fan I bleed purple. Hahah.
GO RAVENS!
XO, Michelle
